About Me

My name is Christine Morrow, artist and founder of CHM Designworks. I create matching games, puzzles, and gifts for children ages 3–7, all featuring my original, hand-painted artwork.

I grew up in Wallingford, Connecticut, raised by deeply creative parents. My mother was an accomplished artist and sculptor, known for her hand-sculpted dolls—some life-size—which were featured in national magazines and collected across the country. Her work found homes everywhere from Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills to the Folk Art Museum in New York City, long before the days of email and the internet.

Although sculpting wasn’t my path, I spent years helping her craft the dolls’ bodies and clothing. Those early experiences shaped my love of artistry and craftsmanship.

Years later, while homeschooling my two sons, I began exploring my own creative voice—starting with hand-painted clay pots featuring portrait work. Those pieces were carried by the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Colonial Williamsburg, and other museums and specialty shops across the country. That work eventually evolved into watercolor illustration.

Today, those illustrations form the foundation of my collections—screen-free games and gifts designed to feel nostalgic, thoughtful, and story-rich. Each piece is created to be not only played with, but kept, gifted, and remembered.

Thank you for visiting.
