About Me
My name is Christine Morrow, the artist and founder of CHM Designworks. I create matching games, puzzles, and gifts for children ages 3–7, all featuring my original, hand-painted artwork.
I grew up in Wallingford, Connecticut, raised by creative parents. My mother was an accomplished artist and sculptor who made dolls with hand-sculpted faces and hands—some life-size—that were featured in national magazines and sold to collectors across the country. Her creations found homes everywhere from Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills to the Folk Art Museum in New York City. Long before the days of email and the internet, her work made its way into the hands of well-known collectors and Hollywood figures.
Although sculpting wasn’t my path, I spent years helping her craft the dolls’ bodies and clothing. Those experiences shaped my love of storytelling, artistry, and craftsmanship.
While homeschooling my two sons, I began exploring my own creative voice—starting with clay pots featuring famous portraits on them, which I sold to the Philadelphia Art Museum, Colonial Williamsburg, and other museums and gift shops around the country. That work evolved into designing trays and plates, and eventually led me to watercolor illustration.
Over time, my illustrations became the foundation for screen-free games and gifts for children—nostalgic, thoughtful, and meant to carry forward the creative spirit that shaped me.
